Taqueria La Parrilla in Watkinsville

Good atmosphere and great service. Had the fish tacos and they were amazing.

The best location out of the three La Parilla is Athens & surrounding area. Only gave 4 stars because my spouse & I aren't a big fan of the food. However, the food at this location taste much better than the eastside location. This location is also very clean. My kids love this place.

Have been getting take out from here recently due to COVID. The take out food has always been consistently good.

Excellent food and service, every time. Our most favorite Mexican restaurant in the Clarke-Oconee area.

Love this restaurant, great food! Don’t go here unless your hungry. They do not disappoint. Our entire family likes to eat here. Everything is very good! This location is especially special to me always because I met what is now one of my best girlfriends here, almost five years ago. She no longer works there, but they still have super amazing people!

Friendly servers, tasty Margarita and food. I don't like places that add a bunch of vegetables to the rice. The rice here was very good - no impurities...We're already planning on going back with family...

First time visit today for lunch. Very friendly service and fast delivery of food to the table. Fajita nachos had fresh veggies and steak was seasoned perfectly. Beef chimichanga was excellent and fajita chicken salad had all fresh veggies. Great food and service for 4 people for under $50

It’s delicious and the waiters/waitresses are friendly. My family loves going there. My daughter loves going there with her cousins so much that they have shortened the name when referring to the restaurant. 🌮🌮🌯🌯🍴🍴

Very americanized with milder flavors but well prepared and not totally bland. Wicked fast. Implausibly fast. A good place to eat with picky eaters. Would generally eat Mexican anywhere else 95% of the time due to a preference for more authentic and complex flavors.

This is our go to Mexican place going on ten years. The faces of the workers may have changed, but the service and food are still the best around. Like spicy food, I can personally recommend the Steak a la Mexicana. It's like getting fajitas, but the meat is prepared in a delicious spicy sauce.

My family loves this place! When someone is in the mood for Mexican food, this is definitely the first place mentioned. The food is always great and so is the service! The food also comes out fast, which is so appreciated when you have young kids. I would recommend trying this place if you haven't already!!

Good Mexican food, quick. Fun atmosphere. Prices have gone up a bit, but still affordable. Recently the county changed their policy on alcohol, so now they're serving more than just beer.

Typical Mexican American restaurant. Not bad. They do a brisk business. Quick courteous service, food served hot and fresh. Well trained staff. Clean and orderly restrooms and surroundings.Due to the busy highway, leaving the parking lot can be slow. I found the food to be good, but not exceptional.

Not a good experience, horrible service and food was soggy and had zero flavor. Never again.

First time to eat there. The tacos I had we're good but a little greasy and not very spicy for my taste. The beans and rice we're a standard affair but served only a little above room temp but that might be due to the number of people in the place. We had some friends get there before us and already had a table otherwise we would have waited 45 min for a table. The wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Love the food will continue to order but want to know if getting one fish taco instead of 2 is Taqueria La Parrila mistake or Grubhub? LINE 3 where it says (2 1 fish taco and is checked off.)When I got 1 fish taco instead of 2 I called to just ask for credit for the next time I come in person and told it’s Grubhub’s responsibility. I don’t see how when everything is bagged up and checked off and the receipt shows 2 tacos with the correct total of $6.50. I appreciate feedback.

Worst customer service i have ever experienced!! The restaurant was not busy at all, but apparently our waiter had to deal with an issue with an employee. Ok, fine. However, we waited forever! No one came to us to help or explain until I asked for the check. If there was an issue, why not ask someone else to help take care of us? There were plenty of waiters/waitresses hanging around, so it's not like help wasn't available. You take care of the customer regardless. (Just FYI, I am a former waitress so I know how it should go.) When I go to pay for the two drinks we had, the ladies could not have cared any less about the situation. Don't worry we won't bother you again.

Great place to have a quick wholesome meal. The also host parties in the Athens location and did a great job for one that I just did.

After going to several of these locations across the Athens area, I can say this is the worst one. Horrible service, saw our waiter once every 30 minutes if that, ran out of water, wanted to pay. Ordered a taco salad with a baked shell. The menu in no way says if you get a baked shell you wont get what is listed in the taco salad description in full (no cheese, no sour cream, changed beans). When I said my taco salad didnt have cheese, our waiter said taco salads didnt come with cheese despite what the menu says. I requested the missing items and they were brought - all was good. Until I saw the bill and was charged $3 for each missing item I requested. Of course I never saw my waiter again so I left the cash for it all and left. Waiter never stated it would be extra to get the ingredients listed in the item description. Would not recommend this location which is a shame because it's in a cute area and I normally love these restaurants.

The folks at Taqueria LaParilla are consistently friendly and efficient. The food is always very good, and atmosphere comfortable. We're there almost every Sunday!
